Abstrakty
The possibility of applying the unbonded and the bonded tendons L16 type (single strand 7 Fi 5 mm), to prestressing the concrete tanks with capacity of 1000 - 15000 cu.m. is analysed. The tank shell constructed of prefabricated elements is prestressed only in horizontal direction. The unbonded tendons conducted inside the precast elements are anchored in two pilasters. The bonded tendons are anchored in 4, 6, 8 and 10 pilasters. The formula is proposed to evaluate the geometry of tanks. In statical calculations the boundary conditions between the concrete wall and the bottom slab as well as the sequence of tendons prestressing have been taken into considerations. The design force values (Pd) of the unbonded and the bonded tendons estimated after 20 000 days are the base for calculation the number of circumferential tendons for every tank. Finally, based on the results of computer investigations and the criterion of maximal concrete stresses in vertical and horizontal direction, the problem of the limitation of crack widths and assurance of minimal depth of concrete in compression is of analysed (according to Eurocode 2. Part 4).
