Composite frame structures are nowadays the most popular structures in building. The composite structure must be considered in two phases: first as steel frame in fitting phase, and as composite structure under ultimate load. Joints used for these structures are flexible in fitting phase and rigid in composite structures under ultimate loading. The paper presents results of tests of the steel joints and composite joints too. A series of seat and web plate beam-to-column steel and composite connection tests is reported. The main variables investigated are the percentage of reinforcement and kind of concrete solid plate. Test set-up, instrumentation, loading and some test results has been described.
