History of becoming both development Department of Hydraulics and Sanitary Engineering of State University "Lviv Politechnika " is stated in the given work because of analysis of archival materials. It is demonstrated, that date of the basis of Department of Hydraulics and Sanitary Engineering is July 5, 1924. The materials on personal structure of the teachers of department are detected. The educational plans of miscellaneous years are analyzed, the titles of educational disciplines are indicated.
