The problem of the sludge processing and utilization still remains a challenge. A sludge from the meat industry wastewater treatment plants is especially interesting because of its possible agricultural properties. The aim of the presented paper was to examine the physico-chemical treatment and processing of the sludge. The following methods were applied: - sedimentation thickening - centrifuge dewatering - thickening and dewatering with floculation agents - thermal treatment. Bacteriological and parasythological analyses were also performed. Some suggestions concerning possible methods of the examined sludge utilization were presented.
