The study analyzes the static behaviour of rectangular slabs subjected to the action of temperature. On the basis of the results, the problem of reinforcement of such slabs is analyzed. The numerical variational finite difference method is applied in order to find solutions to this problem. The results are compared with analytical solutions and are verified by model testing.

Artykuł dotyczy analizy pracy statycznej płyt prostokątnych poddanych działaniu temperatury. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników analizowano problem zbrojenia takich płyt. Do poszukiwania rozwiązań zastosowano numeryczną metodę wariacyjnego ujęcia różnic skończonych. Uzyskane wyniki porównano z rozwiązaniami analitycznymi oraz zweryfikowano badaniami modelowymi.
