Abstrakty

Globalne ocieplenie stanowi tak zwany "gorący temat" dyskusji nie tylko naukowców lecz także dziennikarzy, ekonomistów i polityków. Większość z nich zakłada, że w ciągu ostatnich 150 lat średnia temperatura ziemi wzrosła o 0,6°C w wyniku emisji antropogenicznego CO2 (spalania paliw). Jako skutek do końca XXI wieku przewiduje się katastrofalne zmiany klimatu jeżeli nie podejmie się działalności w celu zmniejszenia emisji CO2. Niezależnie od tych opinii nie ma dowodów, że emisja antropogenicznego CO2 ma znaczący wpływ na obserwowane zmiany klimatu. Zmiany te mogą być oceniane nie jako niezwykłe, ponieważ podobne zmiany miały miejsce szereg razy w historii Ziemi. Działania wynikające z protokółu z Kioto i dodatkowe umowy międzynarodowe zawarte przez członków Unii Europejskiej dotyczące ograniczenia emisji gazów cieplarnianych prowadzą do wielu problemów w przemyśle i mogą pociągnąć za sobą zmniejszenie rozwoju społeczeństw, a przede wszystkim ich rzeczywisty wpływ na zmiany klimatu jest pomijalny. Jest wiele powodów, dla których powinno się ograniczyć spalanie węgla, ropy naftowej i naturalnego gazu. Wśród tych powodów problem zmian klimatu nie jest najważniejszy.

Global warming is so called "hot topic" of discussion not only among scientists but also between journalists, economists and politicians. Majority of them assume that during last 150 years the average temperature of Earth increased by 0.6°C in result of antropogenic CO2, emission (burning fuels). As a consequence till the end of 21st century some catastrophic changes in climate are predicted if any kind of human activity leading to reducing of CO2, emission will not begin. Despite these opinions there are no final proofs that antropogenic CO2 emission has significant influence on the climate changes observed at present. These changes can be not considered as unusual because similar changes took place many times in Earth history. Actions resulting from Kyoto Protocol and additional international agreements signed by EU countries concerning limitation of greenhouse gas emission, lead to many troubles in industry, can slow down societies development and first of all their real influence on climate changes is negligible. There are many reasons for limitation of burning coal, crude oil or natural gas. Among these reasons the problem of climate changes actually is not the most important.
