As the year of beginning of the activity of Lime Works "Kujawy" 1860 can be recognized, but only in 1956 a full mechanization of mining works in quarries has been introduced and a processing plant has been erected. In 1995 a taking over of majority block of stock of the company by Lafarge Group took place and the investment activities have been accelerated. In 2003 the company has been sold to the CRH Group. The shares of the company have been acquired by Trzuskawica Lime Industry Works S.A. and a company under the present name has been brought into being. The manufacturing process applied in the Works, the kilns most modern in Poland and offered products (hydrated lime, quicklime in lumps, ground quicklime, crushed quicklime and lime fertilizer) are discussed.
