Opisano budowę i zasadę działania laserów gazowych, laserów stałych Nd:YAG i nowej generacji laserów diodowych dużej mocy, stosowanych w spawalnictwie. Omówiono podstawowe zakresy zastosowań laserów przemysłowych oraz podano możliwości i przykłady zastosowań laserów diodowych do napawania i obróbki powierzchniowej.
