Omówiono powstawanie klinkieru i wpływ jego uziarnienia na pracę chłodnika, zjawisko cyrkulacji pyłu, prowadzące do zmniejszenia sprawności chłodnika i wpływ sprawności chłodnika na zużycie ciepła. Przedstawiono rodzaje stosowanych obecnie chłodników klin- kieru: planetarne, obrotowe i rusztowe - starego typu i z regulowanym przepływem powietrza. Bardziej szczegółowo omówiono chłodnik rusztowy COOLAX-CFG, możliwości modyfikacji konstrukcji istniejacych, zagadnienia rekuperacji i strat ciepła, zależność rekuperacji ciepła od ilości powietrza do spalania i obliczanie strat cieplnych chłodnika oraz podano przyklad bilansu cieplnego chłodnika.

The formation of clinker and the effect ot clinker graining on the operation of cooler, the role of dust circulation, leading to a reduction of cooler efficiency and the importance of the cooler efficiency for the heat consumption are discussed. The types of to-day employed coolers: planetary, rotary and grate coolers of old type and with controlled air flow are presented. The COOLAX -CFG grate cooler is discussed more in detail, including the possibility of retrofitting of existing coolers, problems of recuperation and heat losses, the variation of heat recuperation with the amount of combustion air and the calculation ot cooler losses, and an example of a cooler heat balance is given.
