The paper presents an estimation of technical state of free-standing steel chimney, a method of protection against excessive vibrations and swing of chimney, and recommeendations concerning both further exploitation of chimney and elimination of wind resonance. It is also presented both a repair method of damages emerged in overground portion of chimney foundation and its protection aganst precipitation.
