In a paper there are described main properties of following types of industrial synthetic lubricants: synthetic hydrocarbons, polyalkylene glycols, carboxylic acids esters, phosphoric acids esters, silicone oils. Using this as background, products of mobil are presented. Some economically and technically motivated examples using of synthetic lubricants instead mineral lubricants, are described.
