W publikacji przedstawiono zasady pomiaru strumienia objętości płynu w kanale o przekroju prostokątnym przy wykorzystaniu sondy uśredniającej. Rozmieszczenie otworów piezometrycznych w sondzie wynikało z przyjętego liniowo-logarytmicznego modelu profilu prędkości. Na podstawie programu FLOTRAN/ANSYS przeprowadzono symulację przepływu w przewodzie oraz sondzie uśredniającej.

The paper present principles of liquid flow measurement in the rectangular duct by using average pitot tube. A theoretical (line-logarithmic) velocity profile model is used to determine the location of the velocity sensing ports in the probe. Basing on program packet FLOTRANS/ANSYS created for Reynolds equations supplemented with k - [epsilon] turbulence model simulations were run in the duct and average pitot tube. The simulation results regarding velocity distribution in the rectangular duct as well as amount of pressure generated by the ptobe were compared with results of the experiment.
