Zaobserwowano, że sygnał czujnika tlenu zależy od składu strumienia gazu, o ile obecne w gazie substancje oddziałują na materiał membrany. Sygnał czujnika zarówno z membraną polietylenową, jak i polipropylenową wskauje na wyższe stężenie tlenu w powietrzu domieszkowanym parami substancjami organicznych niż w powietrzu czystym. Ponadto wartości sygnału są óżne, mimo jednakowego stężenia lenu i jednakowego stężenia poszczególnych substancji organicznych w powietrzu. W przypadku czujnika z membraną teflonową nie zaobserwowano wymienionych nieprawidłowości. dalsze badania wskazują, że sygnal czujnika tlenu nie zależy od prędkości przepływu gazu w zakresie prędkości zwykle wystepujących w kolumnowych reaktorach barbotażowych.

An influence of vapours of organic compounds as components of the air on the amperometric oxygen sensor signal was investigated taking into account gas rsidance time distribution curves in a bubble column reactor.Vapours of the acetone, benzene, hexane, ethyl acetate, xylene and oluene wer used as tracers and simultaneously as impurities of the air stre.It was found that a value of the oxygen sensor signal depends on the composition og the gas phase if the organic compounds modifity properties of a membrane material. The poliethylene, polypropylene and teflon foils were used as a membrane material.It was found that the oxygen sensor signal in the air stream containing all investigated organic vapours was higher than in the pure air if the polypropylene and the poliethylene membranes were used. Besides the signal was different for various substances.On the contrary a presence of the organic vapours did not influence the signal of the oxygen sensor with the teflon foil as the membrane. It was found that the oxygen sensor signal value did not depend on the gas flow rate in the range of gas velocities usually used in bubble column reactors.
