The text presented formed the introduction to the Catalogue of the exhibition "The Church of God's Providence" organized in September and October of 1999, in the Museum of Architecture in Wrocaw. The idea of building a sanctuary as a monument to Poland's independence is bound with important, to the Nation, events - beginning from the decoration of the 3rd of May Constitution until the present times. The historical ill fortune which hang over 200 years. The building idea revived in 1998. In accordance with the resolution of the Seym, the church will symbolize the gratitude of the nation for the recovery of independence, 20 years of the pontificate of John Paul II and the Jubilee of 2000 years of Christianity.
