General description of autogas market in the world has been given. It was estimated that an autogas success in the E.U. countries should be connected with the effective government's policy, supporting use of this fuel. Legal state in Poland in this area and some proposals promoting further grow in autogas use have been presented. Moreover, some advantages resulting from autogas use in some types of vehicles have been analysed.
