EN

Taking as the background existing development trends of engine constructions, influence of composition and quality characteristics of gasoline and diesel fuels on emissions have been presented. It is concluded that fuel quality characteristics had an essential impact on toxicity level of engine emissions. In summary some progress perspectives for engine fuels have been given.
