In the following part of the article, principles of carrying on of quality control of industrial oils, during using them in machines are presented. Sampling method from lubricating systems, range and description the most typical laboratory tests and their frequency are given. Potential sources of individual elements (mainly metals) that are met in industrial oils are characterised.
