The paper deals with state of the art concerning test on cores and application of nondestructive test methods for estimation of concrete compressive strength. The laws of correlation between the cube strength and the strength obtained on cores with small diameters (100 and 50 mm) as well as strength from NDT methods have been discussed. The relationships expressing the lover confidence limits for future individual observations have been developed and recommendations for the in situ estimation of cube strength have been given.
