The problems that are connected to the application of biocides as a source of decreasing of microorganisms growth in fuels are described in this article. The result of microorganisms development in the fuel as well as methods used for prevention of microflora growth are also discussed. The ecological results of biocide application to the fuels were taken into the consideration.
