W referacie omówiono definicje oraz metody praktycznej realizacji jednostki długości. Ponadto w referacie przedstawiono zmodernizowane stanowisko państwowego wzorca jednostki długości. W szczególności opisano budowę, zasadę działania oraz charakterystyki metrologiczne syntezera częstotliwości optycznych. W referacie przedstawiono również metodę obliczeniową oraz zaprezentowano wyniki przykładowych pomiarów przeprowadzonych na zmodernizowanym stanowisku państwowego wzorca jednostki długości.

The definition and methods for practical realization of the length unit provided by CIPM are described in the paper. The stabilized radiation sources of standard wavelengths used in the laboratory before the modernization are presented with a description of the iodine stabilized He-Ne laser. Moreover, the modernized station of the national standard of length is realized. The principle of operation, the construction, the method for measurement, metrological characteristic of the optical frequency synthesizer (a new generation of optical frequency standards - Nobel Prize for prof. Theodor W. Hänsch in the field of quantum physics in 2005) are described and presented in block diagrams and illustrations. The method for result calculations from the frequencies measured during calibration is also demonstrated with exemplary results of the measurements using the national standard of length. The validating measurements were carried out by comparison of the results of iodine stabilized He-Ne laser calibration with those obtained from another NMI during the international comparisons.
