Driver steering wheel uncertainty as a component error of the lateral dynamic stability of vehicle driving round an obstacle

Abstrakty
W artykule opisano typowe problemy związane z pomiarami dynamiki ruchu pojazdów kołowych. Wskazano na brak powtarzalności kolejnych prób i niedokładności w wymuszeniu kołem kierownicy realizowane przez kierowców testowych. Różnice w osiąganych wynikach przez różnych kierowców pokazano na przykładowych, zarejestrowanych próbach.
Typical problems concerned with dynamic measurement of wheeled vehicles are presented in the article. All results come from expertise of Military Institute of Armour and Automotive Technology. They were collected during testing the wheeled vehicles. Poor repeatability and uncertainty of driver function is disclosed during tests. As an example, it is shown the difference between results of two test drivers, testing armoured wheeled vehicles, KTO Rosomak. The drivers performed similar test of double line change, in similar conditions and with the same speed. As a result of their various way of steering, the acceleration difference and roll angle difference of the vehicle were over 30%. To prevent in future problems coming from the differences, the Military Institute of Armour and Automotive Technology has started procedure of using special robot system (SR60 ABD Dynamic), which is able to control vehicles, without any driver help. It allows the steering vehicle with high precision, up to several centimeters.
