W artykule przedstawiono wpływ na pracę automatyki zabezpieczeniowej sterowników FACTS jako układów uelastycznijących przesył prądu przemiennego, stosowanych w sieciach gęsto powiązanych. analizie poddano zabezpieczenia odległościowe jako najczęściej instalowane w liniach wysokiego napięcia oraz sterowniki TCSC tj. szeregowy kompensator sterowany tyrystorowo, UPFC - zintegrowany sterownik mocy i PST - przesuwnik fazowy. Określano konieczne zmiany w nastawach zasięgu stref zabezpieczenia odległościowego niezbędne dla jego prowidłowej pracy, gdy w pobliskich liniach zamontowano sterowniki FACTS.

The work of FACTS controllers relies on the introduction of compensative currents, add tensions and impedance to ensure active and passive power flow control, compensation of distortion power, dumping of active power oscillations etc. At short-circuit time, quanties introduced by FACTS influence on the measured values of automatic protection criterion quantities. So that, the power system does not divide into many parts, the automatic protection has to work unfailingly. In this article the influence of the FACTS on the work of distance protection at strongly joined power network is discussed.
