Fuel contamination has been described. EBV quality prediction system - EQPS for automotive fuels in long term storage has been presented. For strategic storage a commercial 2 year time horizon is too costly and 5 to 10 years are target for, the later especially in underground salt caverns. Special quality requirements have been developed for gasolines and diesel fuels and additional test methods and quality prediction systems had to be created.
