Description of fuel ignition process in Diesel engine, with special attention to forming of nitrogen oxides and solid particles with adsorbed PAH and resulting problem of emission has been given. Various mixtures of diesel fuel with methanol and its derivatives make possible considerable decreasing of the emission standards for NOx and solid particles, begining from 2004 year.
