EN

The viscous dampers between a structure and its moving supporting foundation are used to reduce the transmission of vibration and forces. The damping matrix of the system with dampers is a non-proportional one with freąuency dependent parameters. This contribution gives a brief account of the modification of the classic response spectrum method used for vibration analysis of kinematic excited systems with viscous dampers.
