W niniejszym artykule przeanalizowano rozwój naprężeń termicznych w segmencie ściany żelbetowej wykonanej pomiędzy istniejącymi segmentami ściany zbiornika.

In this article was presented an approximate analysis of the development of a thermal stress in the wall of the cylindrical RC tank which realized during the extension of the sewage treatment plant Krakow-Plaszow. In the analysed wall appeared four through cracks three days after removal of formwork of the width equal to 0.25 mm. However, later appeared numerous surface cracks of the width equal to 0.125 mm. The calculation took into account the influence of the solar temperature of the air on the development of the non-uniform temperature area (Fourier's equation). The development of the stress calculated with taking into account the momentary Young's modulus, the momentary creep function (according to Breugel) and the moment of removal of formwork.
