Abstrakty
The paper presents the solving of the problem of the stress states in the ceramic head of hip joint endoprosthesis. This problem is very important today, because there had occurred the destruction of the ceramic head among a non-negligible number of patients. The values of the head stress and reliability are significantly influenced by the existence of the modeled production inaccuracies on the head and the stem contact areas. Therefore, the first part of the paper presents the results of the stress in the ceramic head under the oblique loading which simulates the physiological ones. The second part presents the results from the production inaccuracies measuring, which will be implemented in the FEM model as geometrical input.
