Devices made of IPMC (ionic polymer-metal composite) in electric field can considerably deform. Therefore IPMC will have many applications in medicine in the near future - mainly as muscle-assist devices. One of the ideas is cardiac-assist muscle, well-known from many publications. The aim of this paper is to check its capability. Analysing how IPMC works and using FEM, authors built universal model of working a single board. Next, this model was generalised to considered device and simulated working together with heart.
