The subject of the paper is related to the problem of possibility of the deposition of industrial waste materials in abandoned workings and cavings encountered in mines in which the underground exploitation of coal or metal ore has been finished. The paper considers the migration of chemically active substances dissolved in a fluid flowing through the rock mass. The rock is regarded as porous or fractured-porous material for which the relation between the fluid velocity and pressure gradient is represented by the Darcy's law. It is assumed that the principal mode of migration of dissolved substances is advection. Moreover, diffusion, absorption, adsorption, ion exchange and chemical reactions modify the concentration of the dissolved substance. The balance equation involving the superposition of the phenomena mentioned above bas been formulated with respect to a dissolved substance. A system of partial differential equations describing the migration of dissolved substances involved in the sequential reaction bas also been presented.
