W artykule omówiono przykład systemowego podejścia do rozwoju infrastruktury kolejowej w Austrii. Mimo planu oszczędności budżetowych, ogłoszonego przez rząd federalny w ubiegłym roku, inwestycje w infrastrukturę kolejową w latach 2011-2016 pozostaną na średniorocznym poziomie powyżej 2,3 mld euro.

The example of systemic approach to the development of rail infrastructure in Austria has been presented in the article. Despite the budget savings plan, announced last year by the federal government, the investments in rail infrastructure for 2011-2016 will remain at the average yearly level of above 2,3 billion euro.
