Abstrakty

The paper deals with an introduction to the flow of non-Newtonian fluids. In this contribution we limit ourselves to the case of the isothermal flow of a viscous incompressible fluid. In order to incorporate the effect of the rate of strain on the fluid characteristics the relevant type of constitutive equations are used. The most popular type of the generalised Newtonian fluid is than used for the tube flow demonstration.
