W wybranych obszarach bieżni hamulcowej maszyny wyciągowej zaobserwowano liczne pęknięcia powierzchniowe. Dla określenia możliwości je dalszej bezpiecznej eksploatacji określono stopień jej degradacji. Badania polegały m.in. na okresowych pomiarach długości wybranych pęknięć. Ponadto z uwagi na konsekwencje ewentualnej awarii maszyny (wyłupanie lub wyłuskanie fragmentów bieżni) w badaniach wykorzystano szereg diagnostycznych metod nieniszczących: metodę magnetyczno-proszkową, ultradźwiękową echa, oceny spadku potencjału prądów naskórkowych, a także tensometrię oporową i termografię. Przyczyną wystąpienia pęknięć powierzchniowych bieżni było zmęczenie termiczne. W obecnym stanie dalsza eksploatacja maszyny jest ryzykowna.

In the specific place of the hosting machine on the brake-pulley race were observed large numbers of the surface cracks. In connection with the necessity for determine of this machine further possible operation it was necessary to access the state of degradation of brake pulley race. The research was done in the places where the surface crack clusters were observed. This observation consists the user selected and marked temporary measure length cracks. In the examination the following non-destructive tests was used: magnetic-powder method., ultrasonic-echo method, assessment of skin current potential drop, electric resistance wire strain gauge and thermography. Because of the very serious consequence of such breakdowns such comprehensive methodology to this problem was used. One explain that the causes of such cracks were the thermal fatigue. In actual state of the degradation this brake-pulley race can't operates and shall be exchanged or repaired. In the any minute from now can appear the break down fragments of the race. The thermal pitting effect can appear too. It threatens safety work of the brakes and of the whole machine.
