Przeprowadzono analizę gospodarki ubocznymi produktami spalania węgla brunatnego w elektrowniach. Wskazano na przydatność tych produktów dla różnych celów, a szczególnie w budownictwie i drogownictwie. Wskazano też możliwość i celowość wykorzystania ubocznych produktów spalania węgla dla rekultywacji odkrywkowych wyrobisk i terenów poeksploatacyjnych. Na podstawie aktualnych przepisów prawa sporządzono schematy postępowania dla uzyskania decyzji dopuszczających wykorzystanie ubocznych produktów spalania węgla dla celów rekultywacji.

The demands connected with supplying the society and economy with electrical energy and heat are mainlymet thanks to mining fuels combustion. The mains few are hard and brown coal. Even though its negative influence on the environment is constantly tried to be minimised, the process is still considerably burdensome. Apart from the pollutants released into the air and contaminating water, there are also coal combustion by products. Coal combustion by-products, depending on their properties which are influenced by the quality and kind of coal, by the technology of combustion as well as by addedsorbent, are used in industry, highway engineering and agriculture. However, this way of using by-products is not done on a grater scale. Placing the unused by-products in their original location, that is in the underground hard coal mines and open-cast brown coal mines as the reclamation of those headings could be a solution. Such action is especially justified in case of mining and power industry complexes where the transport of the combustion products is more convenient.
