The aim of this study was modeling of the wind turbine blades with traditional design, i.e. with stiffening ribs as a shell and new design of wind turbine blades, i.e. with stiffening ribs as a beam. Both mass and aerodynamic loads were investigated, where aerodynamic loads were considered as aerodynamic forces as well as dynamic pressure coming from extreme wind flow.
