W pracy badano skuteczność różnych gatunków warzyw w procesie oczyszczania gleby z metali ciężkich. Najwięcej kadmu, chromu, manganu i ołowiu gromadziła w swoich tkankach cukinia, natomiast najmniej fasola. Największe zmiany w zawartości tych pierwiastków zaobserwowano w warstwie 0-20 cm i 20-40 cm. Na pozostałych głębokościach były one niewielkie.
The effect of different species of vegetables in the process of decontamination of the soil from heavy metals was investigated. The highest accumulation of cadmium, chromium, manganese and lead was evidenced in the biomass of zucchini, the lowest - the french bean. The most significant variation in the content of these elements were observed in the surface soil horizon (0-20 cm) and in the depth of 20-40 cm. Differences were statistically non significant in other layers.
