Heavy metal toxicity to benthic organisms in bottom sediments of river Odra estuary and selected Western Pomeranian lakes
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
63,4% obszaru ujścia Odry (osadów dennych) to rejony o wysokim stopniu toksyczności metali ciężkich (Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd i Hg) wpływającej na organizmy bentoniczne. 23,3% obszaru odznacza się średnią toksycznością, a 13,3% wykazuje toksyczność niską. Osady Jezior: Kiełbicze, Wełtyńskie, Binowo i Miedwie odznaczają się niskim poziomem toksyczności metali, natomiast osady Jeziora Ostrów wykazują średni poziom toksyczności osadów.
Bottom sediments in as much as 63.4% of the River Odra mouth area are characterized by high toxicity of heavy metals (Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd i Hg) to benthic organisms; in 23.3% of the area the toxicity level is intermediate, low toxicity being demonstrated for 13.3% of the area. Sediments of the lakes Kiełbicze, Wełtyńskie, Binowo, and Miedwie show low metal toxicity, whereas toxicity of the Lake Ostrów sediments to benthic organisms is intermediate.
