The paper presents a new method for determining quantities of multiple faults in networks with effectively or ineffectively earthed neutral and transformers with any vector group. The method allows the calculation of faults on both sides of a transformer and makes the preparation of algorithms for computations relatively easy and convenient. The process is based on the node potential method combined with the symmetrical components method and can be applied to any combination of short circuits and/or breaks.
