Abstrakty

For a few years, we have been dealing with possibilities of using modal analysis in the diagnostics of turbine blades failure. We have carried out several fatigue tests of blades and several operational measurements on bladed rotors. By evaluating changes in modal properties we tried to detect the presence of crack in the blade. The results achieved in laboratory conditions were hopefull, but their application in operational conditions interfers with some unsolved problems yet. In this paper, a laboratory experiment is described, during which changes in dynamic behavior of turbine blades during crack development were evaluated.
