Celem prezentowanych badań była próba opracowania konfiguracji układu pomiarowego służącego do pomiaru pola temperatur i odkształceń termicznych wybranych elementów obrabiarki oraz analiza możliwości kompensacji tych odkształceń.

The paper deals with some problems related to temperature field and thermal deformation of TRIAC VMC DENFORD machine tool. In the first step of the research, a set of experimental measurements was conducted. Then, analysis of the measurements revealed that the thermal deformation of headstock can substantially affect accuracy of machining. Therefore, in the next step we developed simple models describing relationship between the temperature and thermal deformation in XYZ axes of the headstock. Also, temperature correction was suggested in order to improve the models. Such models can be used in the systems for thermal deformation compensation.
