Artykuł dotyczy wybranych aspektów kształtowania bezpiecznej przestrzeni. Autor koncentruje uwagę na projekcie "Furty w alejach", który wprowadza nowe możliwości eliminowania przestępczości na poziomie sąsiedztw. Prezentuje również ostatnie wyniki badań, sugerujących, iż wpływ oświetlenia na ograniczenie przestępczości nie jest jednoznaczny.

The article deals with some aspects of crime prevention through environmental design. The author focuses on alley-gating projects, which provide new opportunities for eliminating the treat of crime on neighbourhood level. He also presents recent scientific studies suggest that lighting does have a mixed crime prevention effect.
