Praca prezentuje architekturę kościoła wiejskiego z jedną nawą dla wiernych o formie kwadratu albo prostokąta, przysuniętą do drugiego mniejszego czworoboku, gdzie znajduje się Strefa Liturgii Eucharystii. Artykuł definiuje średniowieczne wnętrze kościoła drewnianego w Polsce jako przestrzeń, która dobrze akceptuje odnowę liturgiczną po II Soborze Watykańskim (1962-1965). Całe to miejsce, określane jako centrum eucharystyczne, jest podkreślane przez wielki, wysoki, jednokalenicowy dach. Pod tym dachem tylko jeden ołtarz funkcjonuje jako stół poświęcony, gdzie ksiądz musi odprawiać Mszę Św. jako odwrócony twarzą do wiernych. W tej drewnianej świątyni tylko okna umieszczone obowiązkowo w ścianie południowej przywołują wartości irracjonalne. Tymczasem dach i całe wnętrze kościoła wraz z jego wieżą zbudowaną później niż w gotyku eksponują duchowość obrony dla zabezpieczenia sacrum jako centrum nienaruszonego.

The paper presents the architecture of churches in villages with one square or rectangular nave for the faithful that is moved towards the other smaller quadrilateral where the Zone of the Eucharistic Liturgy is. The medieval interior of the wooden church in Poland is defined in the article as a space, within which the changes connected with the liturgical renewal after the Vatican Council II (1962-1965) can be easily introduced and well adapted. The high and enormous single ridge roof emphasizes the entire of the character of this place described as the Eucharistic center. Under this roof there is only one altar functioning as a sacred table where the priest is to celebrate the service with his face towards the congregation. Only window, which are obligatory, placed in the south wall call up the irrational values in this wooden temple. On the roof and in the whole of the interior of the church, as well as in the tower, that was built later than in Gothic, the spirituality of the defense for the protection of Sacrum as an intact center is exposed.
