Insufficient, respectively exhaustion of the railway formation ground carrying capacity a is very often phenomenon in railway tracks rescues. One of the possibilities to reach the requested track carrying capacity is to stabilise the formation ground. Because, it is possible to use various stabilisers in dependence on the ground type, we wanted to show the comparison between the classical technology of stabilisation with lime hydrate and the new one with the CONSOLID system preparation. The comparison is done via an example of characteristic type of ground with none carrying capacity and via the results of laboratory tests. The results of this comparison for the examined ground (clay with the middle plasticity) is unambiguous preference of classical technology.
