Przedstawiono wyniki badań laboratoryjnych intensywności zużycia stali P54, P55A i P60, stosowanych na obręcze kół kolejowych. Wyniki te wykorzystano do modelowych obliczeń intensywności zużycia obrzeża.

The existence of the great amount of factors that influence the wear of rail wheels makes impossible to determine the influence of material and exploitation parameters on the wear intensity from field data. It can be done only with the help of laboratory investigations, In this paper the research of wear intensity of tyre steels P54, P55A i P60 has been made. Results of these experiments have been used to calculate to wear intensity of wheel flanges with the aid of mathematical model of sliding wear. Futher investigations to determine the influence of welding repair of flange and lubrication on wear intensity of tyres are required.
