During the manufacturing process of fibre-reinforced laminates with variable fibre-orientations residual stresses build up due to the directional expansion of the single orthotropic UD-layers. In the case of unsymmetric composites this effect, caused by temperature, chemical shrinkage and furthermore media influences, often leads to large out-of-plane deformations. Besides the thermal influence, especially the chemical shrinkage of the epoxy resin induces residual stresses in the UD-layer, which cannot be neglected for an advanced design process. Therefore, an indirect method was developed to determine the characteristic shrinkage value function by comparing the theoretically predicted and experimentally measured laminate curvatures.

Temat pracy stanowi analiza kołowych delaminacji umiejscowionych między warstwami kompozytu, różniącymi się grubością i kierunkiem zbrojenia. Rozkład energii pękania wyznaczono posługując się metodą pracy zamknięcia szczeliny. We wszystkich analizowanych przypadkach stwierdzono, że jednoosiowe obciążenie zewnętrzne indukuje lokalnie, wzdłuż frontu delaminacji GI, GII, GIII. Wzajemne relacje tych wielkości zależą od względnej sztywności odseparowanych warstw i azymutu. Udziały GI i GII są zbliżone, udział GIII znacząco mniejszy.
