The paper presents an analysis of the power balance in a vibration reduction system with a magnetic spring. The interaction between mechanical and electrical subsystems was considered and the energy transferred between subsystems was determined. The parameters of the subsystems were established using results of the measurements. Numerical simulations of reduction of free vibrations were conducted. A Matlab environment was used. The main components of the power balance were illustrated graphically.
