A structural analysis of mechanisms is a source of information about their structure, namely about the class of kinematic pairs, links connectivity, the number of mobility, and what group the mechanism belongs to. This knowledge can be used to create new solutions for currently existing mechanisms. This work presents the structural analysis of machinery for construction and forestry, which provided data for determining a set of their alternative solutions. The structural analysis of mini loader mechanisms was carried out as an example. Kinematic units and kinematic chains composed of kinematic units, were the basis of synthesis.
