On September 27, 1969 in Zakopane, chairmen of the national delegations of TMM from 16 countries met in order to established IFToMM. To honour the 40th anniversary of IFToMM the Executive Council undertook an initiative to unveil IFToMM's commemorative bronze plaque in Zakopane. The Polish Committee of the Theory Machines and Mechanisms (PC TMM) undertook the project in close cosultation with the President of IFToMM, Prof Marco Ceccarelli. The unveiling of the plaque is scheduled for the second day of the 23rd Conference on Trends in the Development of Heavy Duty Machines (PRMR), Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2 p. m. in FWP Hyrny, Pilsudskiego St.
