This paper focuses on the investigations aimed at the assessment of the level of technological advancement in the machines for production of plastics and mining explosives using ABC method. Computer Numerical Control has been successfully used in the most popular and most frequently bought machines in contemporary Polish enterprises. The level of technological advancement of machines determines product quality and the structure of costs. An analysis of technological advancement in CNC machines was carried out in one of the biggest manufacturer of plastics and mining explosives in Poland. The analysis concerned the technological resources formed by numerically controlled machines which constitute a standard equipment used for precision production.
