The paper consists of a description of the concept of psychological capital and its components, the concept of sense of humour and research which examines the relation between them. The research has two phases. The first deals with the available literature. The second phase involves original research conducted by the author on a sample of 56 employees from IT companies. The research findings from the first phase are not supported by the research conducted in the second phase.

Praca zawiera wyjaśnienie koncepcji pozytywnego kapitału psychologicznego wraz z jego elementami składowymi, koncepcję pracowniczego poczucia humoru oraz badania dotyczące relacji pomiędzy tymi dwoma czynnikami. Proces badań obejmował dwie fazy. W pierwszej z nich ustalono, jakie badania były prowadzone w tym zakresie na świecie. W drugim etapie autorka przeprowadziła badania w formie wywiadów na próbie 56 pracowników branży informatycznej w województwie lubuskim. Wyniki badań wykonanych w fazie drugiej w znacznym stopniu nie potwierdziły wyników badań uzyskanych w fazie pierwszej.
