I critically examine the content of contemporary understandings of entrepreneurial management and locate them within the extant body of research dealing with dialectical dynamics of management. My main purpose is to realize a theoretically informed definition of entrepreneurial management that is descriptively robust and conceptually distinct from existing concepts in the literature. Specifically, my dialectical perspective exposes the element of contradiction and conceptualize entrepreneurial management as the organizational configuration of reconciled contradictions - tightly-coupled versus loosely-coupled organizational architecture, as organizational context of entrepreneurial processes; global, technocratic, control-oriented versus local, humanistic, support-oriented, organizational design; accuracy versus high-speed information flow in entrepreneurial task execution.
